Airsoft being one of the most action packed of action sports it comes to no surprise that if we keep ourselves in better shape we are going to literally last a bit longer on the field. Take it from me, after I made my decision to hit the gym and clean up my diet I really did see an obvious change to my physical ability on the field. If you made it this far, I will keep it short and concise as to why I think a bit of fitness will go a long way.
When we think of fitness now a days, we so often think of having to go to the gym and lift or what not. But like I mentioned about training, it doesn't have to be. A good fitness tips is nothing more then dedicating yourself to a good 30-45 minutes worth of exercise everyday. Being able to work up a good sweat burns off some excess weight and helps increase your cardio performance. Thus I would suggest a 25 minute run and 20 minutes doing push ups, sit ups, and some pull ups. This way you get good, consistent cardio and some strength training in. Nothing crazy but small steps that help translate to better physical performance on the field when it counts the most.
As this is an opinion piece, my thoughts on this is are much like what I mentioned in the training post, depending on how much you want from it is how much you will be willing to put in. Yet on the flip side, being fit is not only something for looks but it really helps improve life in general. I was over weight when I joined Redwolf and I wanted to make a conscious decision to get fit. I wanted to get fit not only to help represent my company and the community better but I also wanted to make sure I can be fit and healthy enough to play better and last longer (on the field...).
