The last post made here was back in December and I think I owe you guys an updated. A lot has happened since we wrote our 2017 year in review and I want to take this chance to let you guys know whats up. Believe me when I say a ton of stuff went down from new pistols to rifles to trade shows to videos and you know how things go, CRAZINESS!
Starting with an update as to where we have been. During the beginning of the year the team went to Shot Show in Las Vegas. If you didn't keep up, there's a small slide show below. During the show 2 new pistols where revealed, they were the Nighthawk Custom and Agency Arms collaboration project Agent 1 and the Nighthawk Custom 1911 War Hawk. Theres a lot of really cool features about them, lets talk about the Agent 1 first!
The Agent 1 is a full CNC-ed pistol with RWA's own internal designs based of the TM system. What that means is you can expect great gas efficiency and consistency, not to mention, compatibility with certain TM parts for upgrades or repairs if needed. The pistol is going to be green gas powered but with how the gun is built, it can cycle through one full magazine easily, putting your mind at ease without having to worry about constantly finding the long 1911 mags. Aesthetically, the gun is stunning. Its real steel counter part is a grey cerakoted finish and the airsoft one here is black. However, all the serrations, markings, and cuts are faithfully replicated on this airsoft version.
Following the release of the Agent 1 is the 1911 (that in my opinion) will change the game, the Nighthawk Custom 1911 War Hawk. The War Hawk packs the feature sets of a premium pistol at an easily reach price. Standing apart from the rest, the internals of the War Hawk is to TM Spec. Like afore mentioned about the Agent 1 in terms of efficiency and consistency, you can also enjoy a full metal pistol that is upgradeable right out of the box. Adding to this is its ability to be a duel power source gun, meaning you can use both green gas or Co2 so you don't need to buy 2 different guns, but rather just need to get magazines. Externally the War Hawk does break the traditional look of the 1911. The first thing you will see is the striking tri-cut slide that takes away from the rounded slide look. There are also serrations on the top of the slide that comes to an arrow right at the front sight which is a red fiber helping with tracking targets. Finally, the trigger is as close to a "performance" trigger you can get out of the box with a physically break that comes straight back and the reset is crisp and short.
If you were to think that we only released some cool pistols you would be mistaken my friends because we also made a really awesome video. In January the RWTV team teamed up and did another really epic video showcasing the brand new Avatar Grenade. Its always super cool to be able to do cinematic videos and you can watch it HERE.
After the Avatar video we all were ramping up for IWA 2018. If you didn't know what that is, its kind of like the Shot Show of Europe. IWA is RWA's biggest trade show each year and this year is the 10th anniversary of RWA being at the show. We really pulled out all the stops this year, from booth design, to even having custom made guns to celebrate this moment from companies like G&P, VFC, and Ares. Topping all of this off we were incredibly honored with receiving awards for best Retailer in Asia and Video of the year which you can watch HERE.
During the IWA we brought along two highly anticipated gas blowback guns, the GHK 553 and the Bear Paw Productions SVU. Both guns were highly sought after during the show and people just could not wait to get their hands on them. They were the only two built at the time for us to show and believe it with I say they thrilled people as they came to see them and hold them. Even though the 553 broke towards the end from being over cocked and dropped it was good that it did because that way we are able to give feed back to GHK, which was exactly what they wanted from us! The SVU also gave our eastern European and Russian fans a look at whats to come that might be more close to them, needless to say, it was everything they wanted it to be and more! Finally, bring all the craziness to its peak was the Browning M2 AEG, I will let the picture do the talking.
At conventions like this though its always the people that make them special. This year we were also joined by our sponsored Athlete Airsoft Caroline and her boyfriend Kevin from Channel Airsoft fame. They were such humble and approachable ambassadors for the sport. Its going to be hard to find a better couple with such good dynamics as them. If you didn't already know, Caroline is a self made woman with her own business running a beauty salon in Sweden while playing airsoft representing Redwolf in Sweden. Her boyfriend Kevin is extremely supportive and always makes sure she is taken care of and looks great in photos. Kevin has great natural talent is taking great gear and load out pictures, honestly speaking, I personally have become quite a fan myself.
I hope this was a good amount of insight as to why we or I have been MIA for a little from the blog. There really has been a long going on but now that things have settled down, I am pretty sure things will be back up to normal, bar a few normal content breaks in between. Really looking forward to dropping more cool content here getting back to gun builds, opinion pieces, and sharing cool stuff form our friends at TFB and AMNB (don't forget to check them out).
